It'll be the problem that is affecting absolutely everyone that uses
lucid.

Save the patch somewhere.

cd /usr/share/python-support/python-opensync/

patch -Np0 -i full_path_to_the_patch


Please visit
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/opensync/+bug/584997

and add a "me too" so they'll be more likely to apply the proper fix in
ubuntu.
